I know he was really 15 months on the 8th, but we just had our check up yesterday. Glad to report that we are doing well even with a little cold and sickenss bug.

We have an ear infection but otherwise things look good. We will get our immunizations after the new year when our ear is better.

2 years have passed since mom died. It just doesn't even seem real.

Brian just told me he found a penny on the ground this morning at the gas station. Makes me smile everytime.

There are crazy things floating in my head. Silly questions that I don't know the answers to. Like, I know I had tubes in my ears when I was a baby, but I thought maybe I got them twice. How old was I when I got the chicken pox? The only person who knew those answers is gone. I will never hear the story of how mom's water broke at Grandma Franssen's house when she got up for a second piece of apple pie and I was born the next morning. Or that stern voice a mother has when they use your whole name...REGINA LOUISE! :)

Gavin is in love with the book "Stellaluna". He thinks it is an amazing book. If you haven't read it you need to. Great book about being different but still being friends. I love to hear him say "Stellaluna, or Breckin Stellan", makes me wish he could have really known her. Her loving heart, smile and voice.

My heart is heavy. It aches. There isn't a cure for that. They say time helps, and heals. I am not sure I agree with that, but time makes it hurt a little less.

Sorry for the lack of updating. We have been busy at our house! Two weeks ago Breckin's first 2 teeth broke through. Yea! And he started crawling all in the same day...what a happy birthday for daddy! Gavin is growing like a weed and so is his vocabulary...(mommy needs to watch hers more closely). Brittany is busy with High School and counting down till the end of the year. She will be a Junior next year. Crazy, this summer I will be a step mom to a 16 year old. Otherwise all is good. Brian and are busy chasing two boys that are crazy about being outside and playing with basketballs, soccer balls, baseballs, golf balls...you get the point. We have been saving for a swing set for a while now. We tried and tried last year to get Gavin and 'new baby' one and couldn't find one that we liked. Well, yesterday in the Toys 'R' Us add there was one that had everything we wanted. So after Brian had looked it over and I gave it a look over. I showed it to Gavin. He then proceeded to tell me that he 'had' everything in that ad. Then he sees the turtle sandbox and I tell him that we had that when I was little at my mom's house. He then went on and said "maybe your mom will get me that for my birthday." Oh, how something so innocent can hurt so much.~Tug

A much needed update. Were to begin...the end of February I took Breckin to the doctor for a stuffy cold/cough/congestion thing. He had that for 3-4 weeks and every time I called they said 'he is too little, there isn't much we can do." Well I took him in on Friday 2/26/10 and they said he had Bronchiolitis/RSV. I was shocked. They decided to give him a nebulizer treatment and send us home with a machine and prescriptions for the neb's, and of course some antibiotic as he had an ear infection on top of it. Well, after the in office neb treatment, his stats dropped, his pulse-ox was not good and they put him on oxygen and called us an ambulance. We headed to St. E's for the night and Breckin was luckily weened off the oxygen after 3 hours. I guess RSV has been terrible this year, we were actually put on the Critical care floor because the pediatric floors were full. But he got excellent care, they don't get many babies up there (thank goodness). But now we have been doing the treatments at home and are now off of them. Breckin is 6 months old and had his check up last week. He is only 15 lbs, which is the 9%, but they didn't seem worried as since his visit to the hospital his appetite has been a little off. But his good news is he is now eating cereal!! He really likes it and I am sure will be packing on the 'chub' as soon as he can. We get to start veggies tonight :)

Gavin is doing really well too. He was so excited to go for walks last week! The ground is still to wet to play in the backyard, but we will be as soon as possible. Brittany is doing awesome. She loves high school, student council and choir. She will be 16 this summer, believe it or not. She has been talking about getting a summer job. I hope it doesn't hurt our weekends with her, Gavin and Breckin would be very sad, as well as Brian and I would miss having her. Brian really likes working at Kidwell. It has been more physical than sales, but he really enjoys learning new things and hopes to start classes late summer/early fall. I am just living life. Enjoying my family and trying not to worry. That is a big thing, I am a worrier. I know it will all work out fine. Hope life is treating you all well in Blog-Land. Until next time! If I can I will post some pictures later this week.

Gavin and I were given tickets to Sesame Street Live Elmo's 1-2-3 Imagine! show and he LOVED it. He saw all of his favorite and then some. We brought our own Elmo, I can't believe some parents paid $12 a piece for those dolls! And a lot of the kids had more than 1...ugh.

Well I survived my first trip to the doctor with 2 boys by myself. Breckin did well with the shots and Gavin did well with his last H1N1 mist. Not much going on at the Wiechman house, We are just staying warm inside, but we are getting some cabin fever!

They are short little boys with big heads!! Thank goodness I had C-sections!

Gavin:

Height: 35 inches-26%
Weight: 27 lbs.-17%
Head: 19 inches-25%
BMI: 15.51-25%

This is the first time they noted BMI, so that was interesting. He will be back in July for his 3 year old check-up, that's right I said 3 years old!

Breckin:

Height: 24 inches-7%
Weight: 13 lbs.-22%
Head: 17 inches-75%

He will be back in March for his 6 month check up.

Christmas 2009, is one to remember. We made it out to Milford for my side's Christmas and we were lucky to make it home. Christmas day we ended up staying home all day with our kids and we just hung out all day and played with the new toys! See the kids Christmas morning before presents...it was hard to grab a picture, Breckin was sleeping and Gavin was really excited that Christmas was finally here. The rest of our get togethers were postponed until New Years weekend. Enjoy the pictures, may 2010 be good to you all!

I survived

I did. I survived my first day back. It was nice to be back at work, and around adults. But I did love my time with my boys. It is a shame that there are bills to pay :( or I would stay home all the time.

I had two very adorable giraffes for Halloween and I hope to get pictures up sometime this week...however I am now realizing that my evenings are very full absorbing time with my guys, so unless I start getting on the computer at 5:30-6 am like today, I am not sure how soon they will actually get on here.

I know, this was promised like a month ago. Well with baby #2's arrival nearing I figured I had better blog about my little man before his 3rd birthday.

Gavin is 33 inches tall and in the 25-50 percentile. Still not playing for the NBA, but at least he might not be as short as his mom.

He is at 25 lbs, which is in the 10-25 percentile.

His head measurements have held out at the 25-50 percentile. So all in all, he is growing good and they continue to let us keep him. However, we had a rough time with shots. He god two of them and for days after words he kept telling us he did not like the doctor and he hurt his leg. But that memory has seemed to fade and he has moved on to missing his temporary Tiger tattoo he got from Milford Fun Days last weekend. He is very sad that it washed off (with mommies help) in the bath tub. Oh well he can get another one some other time. Maybe if we visit the State Fair this weekend we can get him one.

As far as other baby news, we have been having weekly doctor visits for a few weeks now. And the count down is ...counting down!!! I have my last visit Monday the 31st. Then the next week will come baby! Gavin is getting more excited, he can feel it sometimes if he will sit still for long enough. :) I ask him what he wants to name the baby and usually he goes through all of his friends at daycare, then wrinkles his nose and says "noooo." We hope that he saying 'excited' about baby....we will see!

One year

Today marks one year since my mom passed away. So many emotions. And it doesn't seem real at times. I imagine just picking up the phone and she is there. To talk to, to laugh with, to cry with. As more and more time passes I am understanding what people were saying at her funeral~that it gets easier with time. Not that you ever get over it, it just seems less raw some days. I miss her like crazy every day and wish that Gavin would talk about grandma Stella the way he does about his other grandma's. And as I get mad that HE took her so young, I remember that she is pain free watching over us all. I have an angel in my garden next to a sign my sister in law gave me and when I am out watering or weeding I do think of her as my guardian angel. I just wish she was still here on earth.

With this new baby coming in a month or so, I am missing her more and wishing I would have had her in the room when Gavin was born or at least asked her to come into Lincoln and see him late that night he was born, instead of asking her to let me rest and come the next day. I don't want to call them regrets because it was a wonderful experience just having Brian and I there for our first born, lets just say knowing what I know now I would want a do over. Is that weird? Oh well.

We are hanging in here, keep checking back as I will be updating more. I have some stats from Gavin's 2 year appointment and baby stats as my appointments are getting more and more frequent! And of course there will be announcements when the baby arrives. Thanks for checking on us.

I can't believe that Brian and I have been married for 4 years now! It seems like we have been together forever, yet are still newly weds. Brian, I love you more and more each day. Sometimes I just sit back and watch you play with Gavin and I am in awe of what a wonderful dad you are and will be to our new addition in September. I love the life we are building together and can't wait to see what our future holds. I know all things are possible when we are together. I love you so much! (Also it is 84 degrees outside today, in 2005 it was like 103!)

Farrah Fawcett dies at age 62 after a battle with cancer.

I am not sure why this news makes me so sad. I never knew her or watched her on the television. I am not a child of the 70's so 'Charlie's Angels' isn't a show I saw. Maybe I am sad because she is how I have always pictured my mom. Beautiful, inside and out-forever. Maybe I am sad because I can picture how that terrible cancer ripped at someone so beautiful until they just couldn't take it anymore. Maybe its pregnancy hormones. Maybe because it is already almost July and soon it will be August and we will have hit the 1 year since mom has been gone.

Today I am just sad. Not for one particular reason, but one thing I do know is they are forever beautiful 'angels' together in heaven.

We went up Pike's Peak on Saturday but could only go to mile marker 13 of 19 due to the snow that was still at the top of the mountain. Brian thought this was funny, me I felt a heart attack.

Mother's Day 2009 bitter and sweet. Gavin and Brian treated me good all weekend! Gavin woke up Sunday morning and handed me a card he made and painted with his 'pingers'. Such a cutie! My sister Mindy emailed this picture yesterday. It was taken last Mother's Day. It is a wonderful memory, we played Scrabble and Mindy reminded us that she won, but remembered that Mom had her own (made up) couple of rules that helped her win! :) Went to visit mom's grave yesterday. It was very peaceful out there. I still wake up sometimes and can't believe she is gone.

21 weeks and all is well.

Today was our check up and ultrasound! Baby has a good strong heartbeat and was moving and grooving during the ultrasound. We did not find out the sex, though I do have to admit the temptation was way stronger this time. We are measuring right on schedule.

Not much else new here. Gavin is growing and being such a stinker! He is talking in more complete sentences and amazes me with the things he says. Example, last night I was on the laptop while our 'shows' were on and Brian was playing with Gavin. When I was done I asked Brian if he wanted on the internet or if I could shut it down...and Brian didn't answer right away, so Gavin kept repeating "on the internet daddy, you want on the internet daddy..."until Brian would answer him. Too cute!

Easter with the Wiechman's

Well Easter 2009. Gavin was sick Friday and Saturday so we missed the egg hunts around town. But Sunday he was feeling much better so we headed to West Point for Easter with Brian's family. Gavin had a good time and we missed Brittany but she will be with us this coming weekend for a bridal shower that she is excited to go to.

Wiechman Update

There has been lots of changes at our house. Gavin talks all the time! He sings his ABC's, Itsy Bitsy Spider and Happy Birthday! He is very polite, says please, thank you, bless you and so on...
He is definitely doing something to amaze us more and more each day.

Baby W and I had a check up today. I haven't felt so hot these last couple of days (dizzy/faintish), so at the check up we tested my blood sugar as well as the protein in my urine and blood pressure and all was fine. So hopefully it was just that I caught a little something and it will pass. Otherwise, baby is growing and mommy is doing well with everything the second time around. Gavin is grasping that life will be changing as we talk about his new room and new bed and things and he seems excited for the changes. he still however is not sleeping. We had a good 3-4 nights and we are back to square 1. So we might try a night or two of screaming again and see if it works.

Baby appointment-13 weeks

Today was our 13 week check up. We are doing good. Got to hear the heartbeat! Nice and strong. We will not do an ultrasound until our May appointment. And we will not be finding out the sex. I just like the surprise! That is probably the only surprise that I like. I am craving Mexican food all the time and have lost another 4 pounds...so I am thinking this is another boy, but time will tell!

Parents NEED Sleep!

Gavin has never been a sleeper. Not through the night anyway. It has been this way since he was born. It isn't so bad when he fusses once or twice a night, but I have to say that this week has been the worst! He has very rarely made it through the night with out waking up. In fact I can count those nights on one hand. I am lost for what to try next. We have done what feels like everything. I have googled and read tons of stories of what worked for mothers all over. I used some methods and refused others. The most popular one is the Ferber method. We have tried that a couple of different times through Gavin's little life. And all times I think I have made it about 30 minutes to an hour, with no sign of calming down. But I refuse to let him scream for 3 hours in hope of him giving up. My sanity just can't take it. Maybe it would be easier to try on a weekend when we are not praying that we get enough sleep to function at work.

He is stubborn and I know he gets a little of that from Brian and I.

We have tried putting him to bed a little earlier, then we tried a little later. Already have the routine down of bath, pj's, etc.

Maybe daylight savings time will trick his body this weekend and he will all the sudden sleep through the night like a normal almost 20 month old. Maybe I am crazy for having another baby...but it will be worth it, just right now we are tired.

In the Middle

Gavin is in the middle. Brittany will be 15 this June, Gavin will turn 2 in July and then 2 months after that we will have another baby added to the Wiechman clan! We are expecting he/she around September 13th. We are planning on another c-section so baby W. will arrive about a week before its due date! I am feeling well, I have lost some weight, but not been sick. The doctor isn't worried about that as I was the same way with Gavin. We do not plan on finding out the sex until it arrives.

I told Gavin we were having a baby. He is so cute about it. I ask him "what's in mommies tummy?" And he whispers back as quiet as he can 'baby' and points. I know he doesn't quite understand. But it is still fun to hear him whisper as if the baby is sleeping.

This has been an emotional experience for me. The one person I really wanted to tell isn't here anymore. Brian tells me that she was the first to know anyway :) Watch over me mom, I miss you.

So if I appear moody and/or distant, do not take it personally, lets blame it on hormones.

to see Gavin again until his 2 year check up"....WHAT? How did I go from every 3 months to 6 months than a year? WOW!~

Anyway, Gavin had his 18 mth check up last week and, good news, we get to keep him!

His stats are, 31" tall and 23 lbs. and he didn't get any shots this time, so that was good. He is hanging out in the 10-25 percentile.

We are getting together this weekend with Andrea, Calla, Brenda and Charli in Lincoln (husbands too). We are excited stay tuned for pictures from our first "friends weekend."

Well I never thought I would love Gavin more, but it happens everyday! He is a talker, and I have no idea where he got that from :) Of course his favorite word is NO. He also says pizza, outside, mommy, daddy, puppy and he so loves his Mickey Mouse, but he calls him Meeska (If you have ever seen Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, you will know what I am talking about). he even says Brittany, but it comes out more like Nittny. He is so vocal and opinionated that I am wondering if I will be in trouble soon. Maybe a mini me...but I am thankful that he is a talker even though I'd rather him say yes once or twice.

Thanksgiving went well. It was of course different and a little difficult. All of us kids went 'home' (minus Mindy who is back safely in NY) and had a nice afternoon with everyone. We played our usual game of Scrabble, we had to pull out a dictionary though, mom was usually our dictionary, and of course the only one we could find was from 1912. Pretty nice time though. We got to steal Tracy for the weekend so that I could do some Black Friday shopping. I didn't have anything worth trampling anyone down for, but it was nice to shop with out kids. I set up my tree Friday afternoon. Then on Saturday we headed to Omaha for a little shopping and Tracy had fun with Brian's nieces Kayla and Amy.

My house has been under some construction for over a week now. I am getting new windows and siding on the house and garage. Its not much but Brian and I can feel the difference in heating our house!! I was able to get myself a bay window in the living room, I have wanted one my whole life. I always dreamed of my house having a bay window, wood floors and a big yard with a weeping willow tree in it. So now all I need is the weeping willow.

I have some pictures of the bay window, but I will wait until my house is finished and grab some photos of the siding job too.

I am really missing my mom today. I hope she knows how much I miss her. What a difference a season can make the first picture is from around Easter and the second is from the end of July...its not fair look how beautiful she was...heaven is sure lucky to have you mom.

I don't know if any of you went to the burial, but my mom wrote a lullaby when I was a baby and sang it to all of us kids, I can even remember us singing it to Tracy and Lucas.

Man when I decide to finally post, do I ever finally post. Here are all those pictures that I promised since...September I think. Please check as there are multiple posts. Everything is going okay here. Today marks 3 months since mom died, I know you all are tired of hearing about this but it is still hard to believe.

Other news, my Bravada has gone to a better place, we traded it in before it cost more than it was worth. So we are now the proud owners of another 5 year car payment :) But now we can haul 7 people so there is a plus. Brian is doing well at work and so am I. I still like my job and love not driving interstate everyday! Gavin is growing super fast, as you will see below, he is talking more and boy, so entertaining. Mom-I miss you

Hello All-

It has been hard since mom died. People say that it gets easier as time passes, but I am not sure that is true. We have all been trying to move on as that is what mom would want us to do. Though she still couldn't imagine us doing that without her, and it is truly difficult. I find myself desiring the family connection so terribly. But it feels like we are worlds apart. Mom held us all together, she was the glue. I do so miss calling her up and having our little chats about nothing. I am not so good lately with the blog...now that fall and winter are ahead there will be less outside things to do so I might be better at the pictures and blogging. Phone calls are hard too...I hope I can be my cheerful self again sometime soon.

Tracy will turn 13 on Sunday. Mom wanted to be here for all of the things that Tracy has yet to experience...Please pray for her and Lucas to continue through this struggle.

Dan is...well being Dan and a man, so you can imagine how he is doing.

Saturday, Gavin and I got to meet up with our friends Calla and Andrea from Kearney. We had a good time. Gavin really was impressed by the goats, seals and these dinosaur eggs that he could play in. I remember loving that thing when I was little, I am so glad they fixed him and brought him back!

Today Stella would have been 55. I have not been able to visit her grave yet. Not sure why I just can’t bring myself to it yet. Nightingale Tribute

I just wanted to let everyone know that I received a call from one of Stella's friends Kathy Corbett. There is a Nebraska Nursing Association convention every year, and every year at this convention they read a list of names. She has added mom to that list knowing how much nursing meant to mom. It will be held in Kearney, NE the week of October 8-10, 2008 at the Holiday Inn. She didn't know which day it would be, but it will be a moment of silence for those names read, the call it the Nightingale Tribute. I am thinking she said there was a candlelight vigil also.

I just thought that it was neat that moms friends thought as much of her as we did.

This was a busy weekend. Friday night my new company Kidwell had an open house and invited all of our customers, it was busy! I think it was a sucess though, we had approximately 200 people there. Saturday Brian had his company picnic, he went golfing in the morning then they had a lunch at Mahoney State Park, which by the way looks like a lot of fun for the Franssen reunion in 2010! Then after lunch we headed back to Lincoln for my picnic. They ordered the Husker game PPV and we had it on about 5 TV's through-out the building. Was a good time, as you can see below, Gavin and Brittany had a good time in the bounce house! Gavin was only in for about 5 minutes or so...then the big kids came and it was time to get out :) Enjoy the pictures below.

Frustration

This is one of the most confusing times in my life. I went shopping with my friend Liz Saturday and had a wonderful time! Then I got home and sat for 5 minutes and felt guilty for having fun. Why? Why do I have to feel guilty for missing my mom and having fun, life should gone on...right? My emotions are messed up. So to move on with the rest of the weekend, Brian, Gavin and I went out to meet Dan and kids at Branched Oak for a few hours. I know the weather was not camping weather. But Lucas had such a blast 'entertaining' us and we had a nice dinner. Dan's birthday was Friday, so I think he needed the kids as a distraction.

Today's post isn't very informative, exciting, happy or anything special, just the random mood I happen to be in. Sorry

Labor Day weekend, group and random thoughts

Finally a 3 day weekend! I am excited to have Monday off and as of right now, nothing planned! That may seem silly but we have been go, go going for a while now. With that being said we have weekend plans for the State Fair! Brian and I will have Tracy and Lucas this weekend as Dan is taking his 1st and last motorcycle trip of the year this weekend. Some of his buddies want to take him to Perry Lake in Kansas for a little time away. I don't think that is a bad idea considering all that we have been through so far this year. T & L are excited, I don't think they have ever been to the NE state fair.

Tonight we have a transitional meeting with the Hearts of Hope group in Lincoln. It was for families of ill loved ones. And tonight they invited us to dinner, then we will make a stepping stone for the memorial garden and end with a balloon release symbolizing a farewell from one group to the next. Dan and the kids and Jessie and our boys are planning on coming so it might be a nice experience.

As far as other things we haven't done to much. I had to clean out my moms office last Wednesday. Mom's boss Dr. Kohl called her a few weeks before she passed and said he was swamped and needed to advertise her position and she completely understood. So they needed me to do it soon, I am sure they replaced her but no one said that for sure to me. I just put the stuff in boxes I didn't have the heart to 'go through' it yet, and my sisters want to do that together. I got in my car and cried lightly as I came back to work. I didn't realize how many of the little trinkets that I gave her she would still have and on display even. I have been working on getting the kids and Dan some health insurance, oh my, expensive. I don't know Dan is going to decide but, COBRA is ridiculous!

I am starting to fill out insurance papers start that whole process. Everything is so surreal. it asks questions like, deceased name, birthday...etc. I still can't believe that she is gone. Gavin has had terrible loose stools with these molars that are coming in and Balmex, A&D and Butt Paste are not working like they normally do and I so just feel like I should pick up the phone and get one of mom's hints on what to do. I miss her, please pray.

One day at a time

Well, all of our family is headed back to their homes and things are settling down. There is still so much to do. I am back at work today. I thought I needed to get back to 'normal' whatever that is. Thank you so much to all who were able to make it to mom's funeral. They said that over 350 people attended the service. We are so touched that many people loved Stella like we did. And to those who weren't there Thank you for all your kind words, Stella stories, thoughts and prayers, they are much needed and appreciated.

That is all for now. Please check back as things will get happier, one of the last things that were coherent that my mom said to me was 'keep your humor'. And I intend to honor that.

Another thing that mom said is that I chose well, 'you made good choices.' She has thought so much of my husband. I am so thankful that he and I were matched together, whatever the age difference. Thank you Brian for hanging in there with me this week, the road will be long but with you I can do anything!

Funeral Service

The service will be held Friday August 15th at 10 am at St John's Lutheran Church in Seward, NE. There will be visitation at Zabka Funeral home on Thursday night the 14th from 9-8:30, with family receiving friends from 6-8pm. On Friday there will be visitation starting at 9 am Friday (at the church). There will be a full obituary at journalstar.com tomorrow.

Thank you for the wonderful comments, and please know that the "Stella Stories" will never stop! Also I plan on singing for mom's funeral please pray that I can make it through that as it would be the best send off to heaven that I could give her, it was a talent that we both shared.

Heaven has a new Angel

Sunday August 10, 2008 Heaven gained a beautiful angel. Stella Marie Dargeloh went home at 8:15 am. I was holding her hand and she was never alone. We are planning the funeral for Friday August 15th. Today we have a meeting with the funeral home to discuss times and a visitation.

The kids start school Thursday, but we decided on Friday so family could come in. My mom was an amazingly strong woman, and I am blessed that God chose her for me.

Please keep praying for our families.

First of all I need to apologize. I have been a terrible blogger and for that I am sorry. Gavin had a wonderful 1st birthday and we have some cute pictures. I haven't had time to send out thank yous either and I am not sure that I will have time in the future. Boen Schweitzer is adorable and I haven't posted any of those pictures yet either. So instead of continuing writing about the things that I am sorry for not doing let me tell you what has been going on.

Last night we had a meeting with the family (all 8 kids showed up) and mom's hospice nurse. We spoke about what will be happening next. Mom has moved in with Jessie and her family in Milford. She will have 24 hour a day care then and the nurse will start coming out more frequently again. Mom isn't able to eat much as it doesn't stay down long. We all got to ask some questions and also mom shared some of her wishes that a few of us knew but now all of us know. It was emotional at times. It is hard to explain the feelings. We have known that everyday with mom is precious but also you forget that she is...dieing. So while we talked we all realize that the end is nearing. I am trying to make sure that mom knows we will be okay when she is gone, but how do you say that when you are wondering if it will be okay yourself?

Tracy and Lucas are anxious to get back to school. They have been hit by a harsh reality this summer and they just want something 'normal' back in their lives...I can't blame them. We will be spending most free time in Milford with my mom, so if you call don't expect an answer or a call back, right now we are just trying to enjoy the time we have left. I am at work and am a good emailer, so please feel free. I will try to update when I have the emotional energy.

Thank you for the love and prayers, because they are truly what have given mom these last days with us.

Happy 1st Birthday! I can't believe that it has been one year since you were born. On July 9th at 8 pm. you came in weighing 7 lbs and 9oz. and you were a wonderful addition to the Wiechman clan (and dad was very happy that you were a boy). I hope that you have a wonderful birthday and we are very glad that god picked us to be your parents. We love you and can't wait to see what you amaze us with next!

Dear Diary

Dear Diary,
As I write this I have many emotions, thoughts words and feelings that I want to share. I have been in a bad mood or something these last few weeks. While I had a wonderful time at the reunion this last weekend it was bittersweet fun. You see when mom came to live with me March 17th, 2008 (after she was given the 2-5 months survival diagnosis) she had 3 ‘goals’ if you will, for her to make it to.

1) Mini-family reunion June 2008-
2) Gavin’s 1st Birthday-
3) The birth of Jessie’s baby-

The reunion has passed, Gavin will be 1 next Wednesday and Jessie went into premature labor last week (they were able to stop it) and is on bed rest. The doctors will probably let her have the baby when she goes in to labor again. Baby wasn’t due until August 9th. So as I see this list dwindling down I am sad. Mom’s tummy is growing harder and harder with tumors, she is throwing up and I don’t know what to do or how to act. People keep thinking there words help…but the truth is no words help…
